Fashion in Pink:" Honeysuckle," a lively and joyful color for the year 2011

The new year is looking brighter in one respect. Last week, Pantone Color Institute, the company that largely sets color standards for the fashion and home industries announced that its color  for 2011 is an intense pink named " Honeysuckle."
The reddish pink shade lights a fire to your senses and revs you up, says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. That was supposed to have a calming, escapist effect on the public's collective psyche after all of the bruising economic challenges.....
Pantone predicts that we are about to see a lot of this color, appearing on everything from designer dresses to accessories, home decorative items, appliances, linens and more. A vibrant, graphic shades of pink, Dusty Pink, Poppy Red, Raspberry, Watermelon, with a hint of red and orange zest, Honeysuckle is a feel-good hue that brings a festive sense of playfulness to this season's palette.
