The Brown Girl World: The First Lady's Fashion Story

I've been trying to get the new OBG products page together (it's taking for-eh-ver!) and became motivated to add a book about the First Lady to the new page after I got an unexpected bear hug from a delightful customer a few days ago.  She told me that after purchasing Mrs. O: The Face of Fashion Democracy from my store, she and her girlfriends got together over a holiday weekend and went through the entire book page-by-page as they gathered on her bed in their PJs.  She painted a very cozy and quite lovely picture in my mind as she reminisced about her adult slumber party fun.  I like being a part of stuff like that.  =)

Whether you adore every single thing that the First Lady wears or not, you've got to admit that she's definitely taken the fashion world by storm and this coffee table book (and family keepsake) is a testament to that.  She wears ensembles that show off her toned arms and her bare legs; she wears sneakers and shorts; and she is even known to flip the script by wearing many of her accessories more than once.  I don't think there has been another First Lady like her since former First Lady and fashion icon Jackie O although I don't remember seeing Jackie O running around with a bunch of kids on the White House lawn screaming Let's Move!  =)
If you haven't already, consider checking out Mrs. O: The Face of Fashion Democracy.
