firstly-MARTHA STURDY, What a great name!- and just as the name implies, that is one of the things that caught my attention about these RESIN pieces-particularly the chaise lounge and lounge chair. They look eternal, solid- and the design quite sculptural.

I simply love the color selection. The web site shows the full palette, but I've chosen my favorites-Chocolate Brown, Poppy Red and Shimmer Blue.

...certainly its historical reference is the de Stijl Movement and the chair designed by one of its principals- Gerrit Rietveld designed in 1917, and still an icon of modern interior design.

this one especially commissioned, typically the Red Blue chair was painted- red/blue - inspired by Mondrian's de Stijl Movement paintings.
