" Listen " by Mark Seliger

If you had to pick the most memorable Rolling Stone cover, chances are, it would be a Seliger. The iconic Red Hot Chili Peppers line-up, the haunting portrait of Kurt Cobain, the legendary Jennifer Aniston shot and recently the notorious Kim Kardashian nude on the cover of W are images that define eras.
Listen features Mark Seliger's private collection, a personal series of photographs that include landscapes, still lifes, nudes, and of course portraits that complete a picture of one of today's most sough after photographers. Seliger deftly conveys the passage of time as well as the beauty of the moment, with his mastery of light and shadow in images.
Mark Seliger is an American photographer who served as chief of photographer for Rolling Stone from 1992 to 2002. He now works for several publications, including GQ, Harper's Bazaar and Vanity Fair.
Mark Seliger will be at Clic Gallery, New York for the launch of his newest book LISTEN on February 17, 2011.

Jenny van Sommers: Scent of a Woman

A different style of packaging, why not!! They are pretty, charming and intriguing, a tribute to Fall's fragrances. London based Jenny van Sommers is an award winning still life photographer who was awarded The Golden Lion at Cannes for her work with Stella Artois. Her photographs were featured in numerous editorials such as Vogue, Another and V Magazine among them. Van Sommers in collaboration with London set designer Gary Card have created a series of amazing perfume's bottles. Playing with the shapes and sizes of each flask, the duo transforms new releases by Prada, Gaultier, Marc Jacobs, Maison Martin Margiela and Ralph Lauren into a series of mysterious packages all wrapped up and tied in various materials, from canvas to foil. The result is quite unique....

Karen Portaleo and her amazing creations

To continue on my food theme..... more tasty creations.... And no, they are not designer handbags, they are amazing cakes created by Karen Portaleo.

The cakes are the work of Highland Bakery, based in Atlanta, Georgia. The team of bakers is headed by Karen Portaleo, a former clay sculptor, She said: "When a client comes in I try and get a feel for their event and what they want - normally they are trying to tell a story about themselves. I try not to take much longer than two days because the cake has to be tasty and fresh. If it's a really complex cake then we will work through the night to keep it moist.
