The whimsical world of Naida Begeta

Kao Pao Shu is the artistic vision of European designer Naida Begeta. Developed originally in Naida's hometown of Sarajevo, Bosnia, each intricately handcrafted item is conceived from the desire to create pieces that are unique, elegant and functional. Graduating in 2004 from the University of Sarajevo's Academy of Fine Arts, Naida began to establish herself as a designer while migrating to and from Milan and Sarajevo.
Beginning with only a few ribbons of fabric, the first handbags were sewn by Naida, as she was unable to find anything that suited her personal style. Today, Kao Pao Shu is located in Santa Monica, California, and had evolved into a full clothing and accessories line. The exquisite line uses fabrics such as fine Italian jersey, silks and unique poly-blends. Pieces are defined in geometrical shapes, playful and uninhibited, breaking the rules of the traditional orientation of fashion.
The Kao Pao Shu collections and store are named after director-producer Kao Pao-Shu who is best known for directing Kung Fu cinema.
From the parties with Dice and Dice in Japan to being seen on the red carpet in NYC, world is getting around about the beautiful lines of Naida Begeta.

The Museum of Bags and Purses

A temple to the tote, Amsterdam's Museum of Bags and Purses is the largest museum of bags in the world. The museum contains an extensive collection - a collection of 4,000 bags, pouches, cases and accessories that illustrates the history of women's purses in Western culture. The collection is very diverse, it ranges from the 17th century pouches to bags from the 20th and 21st century of famous designers such as Schiaparelli, Hermes, Chanel, Dolce Gabbana, Lulu Guinness and more. The Tassen Museum Hendrikje is housed in the former home of Pieter de Graeff - one of the richest individuals of the Dutch Golden Age (17th century) - who embellished the building with ornate paintings and decorative finishes by artists and artisans.
" A woman's mind is as complex as the contents of her handbag.... there is always something at the bottom to surprise you." Comedian Billy Connoly

1984 or For Whom The Bell Tolls ..... Made in Paris with Love by Olympia Le-Tan

Moby Dick, Lord and Jim and the list goes on.... " They are books you can't read." The Novel Handbag is a collection of minaudieres and bags designed by Olympia Le-Tan. Fashion designer Olympia Le-Tan accessories line features clutch bags, suitcases and pouches with a hand-knitted exterior inspired directly by some of literature's classic first-edition covers, stolen from the library of her artistic father Pierre Le-Tan. This season, her collection is inspired by Paris, the 1940's surrealism, covers of book that were turned into movies.
" I was thinking there were all these beautiful books around and they were being forgotten with everybody on the Internet, so I made it  so that you can carry them around, " said Le-Tan.

Graffiti Prints the trend

Designs, lettering, layering and splashes of color to wear in celebration of street art and graffiti-art. Graffiti writing first appeared on Philadelphia trains in the late sixties. Then the trend expanded in New York in the seventies and reached maturity in the eighties. Keith HaringJean-Michel Basquiat and John Matos "CRASH" were it's great exponents.
